In 1988, Paul was featured on a popular TV program produced by ABC called Incredible Sunday. Paul typed a portrait of the host of the program, John Davidson, and his segment ended with a presentation of the portrait to an appreciative Mr. Davisdon. John Cermak, who helped make arrangements for the experience for Paul, made copies of the portrait as it was being created by Paul. Those snapshots are shown in animated form above and individually below. It’s not clear how much time elapsed between each step, though each step would have been at least a day’s work for Paul.
