The digital scans of Paul’s pictures on this site were made from photocopies of his paintings. Some images show degrading or distortions from multiple generations of photocopies (copies made of copies of copies …). Darkening or yellowing of the paper is often seen. Other artifacts include places where finger-nail polish or transparent tape had been used to reinforce areas where the paper had become thin or torn from the wear and tear of being shifted around and struck by typewriter keys.












Paul typed several pictures of squirrels. There’s a photo below which shows Paul feeding a squirrel on his lap outside of the nursing facility where he lived. Paul nicknamed that squirrel Fifi, and included Fifi in some of his more whimsical pictures.
